Since liberals say the war is illegal, it nullifies any arrest or evidence obtained in the arrest of the Gitmo detainees. Since evidence is thrown out when it is obtained from an illegal wiretap, so should all evidence obtained by our occupation of the sovereign state of Iraq. Therefore, the detainees at Guantanamo Bay should be released with the full apology of the Obama adminstration.
Since we have certainly ruined their lives and transported them halfway across the globe, not only should we release them, but we should provide them with free housing in Washington D.C. for at least one year. Give them citizenship immediately and give them intern jobs on the Mall. Then the world will have no reason to hate us because we will have proven we really are nice people.
Its the least we can do. After all, America is evil. The Middle East was a fair, peaceful place until we came around.
This “stimulus” package is like attempting to stop the waves of an earthquake-created tsunami by dropping boulders into the ocean. THERE ARE WAVES COMING!!! SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!!! If we just drop boulders in, creating equal size waves, the waves will collide and return the ocean back to normal. Has everyone gone insane?
When a tsunami is approaching, you don’t try to stop it. You take cover and wait for the sea level to even back out. The economy is NO DIFFERENT.
LEAVE THE ECONOMY ALONE. It will return to equilibrium on its own without our so-called “help.”
Are you skeptical about the economy fixing itself? Why? Basic economics explains it. Look at it this way… what is the value of a house? It doesn’t matter which house, any house. The value of a house, or market value, is simply the “highest price a ready, willing, and able real estate buyer will pay and the lowest price a real estate seller will accept.” We understand that can change drastically in a short period of time, but it won’t go to zero. At worse, the house is worth the materials that it is made of. When prices decrease, there will be a higher demand for those prices, so renters will start buying the foreclosures, and the market will stablize. I actually know this first hand, having bought my first house in December. I bought it for 33% less than its peak value 3 years ago.
Just calm down. This myth that “something has to be done” implies that action is better than nothing.
Nothing disgusts me more than hypocritical racism. Minority groups constantly defend their racism as not actually racism. The moderator at a forum (called “Unveiling White Privilege“) held at the University of Colorado balked at the idea that Jesse Jackson is a racist. An attendee of the forum writes…
“[Jackson] holds prejudices against other blacks, as well as whites and other ethnic groups.” I gave the example of when Jackson called Conservative black activist Ward Connerly “Strange Fruit” the same term used by whites in the Old South to describe blacks who had been lynched.
Moderator: “He can’t be racist because he holds no power.”
Aside from the fact that racism has nothing to do with power, on what planet do you have to live to think Jesse Jackson has no power? If you can name a white person alive today that has more power to engage in racist activity, I’d love to hear that name. Race mongers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are by far the most powerful racists in the country. There are no whites or white groups that can powerfully engage in racism. They would figuratively or literally be killed. Black racists are held up on pedestals.
So after all these decades of the war for civil rights, the tables have turned. The institutional racism towards blacks that I hear so much about, but hasn’t existed since before I was born, has now been replaced with institutional racism towards whites. Affirmative action, another bullshit phrase whose literal meaning has nothing to do with its actual meaning, has made racism ok by claiming that blacks have no power. Meanwhile the only racists in the country who are highly regarded and given seats of power are black or latino. You can’t get elected dog catcher if you are white and racist, but if you are black and racist, get in line. Congress is full of them.
Now to address the NAACP “Image” awards. As much as I like Fox and its programming, this disgustingly racist awards show should be taken off the air. It is appalling to create a show so condescending to blacks as to remove whites from the nomination process to ensure blacks win awards. Blacks do not need help winning awards. In the last 8 years, 4 out of 16 awards(25%) for best actor or actress Oscars have gone to blacks, and blacks only make up 12% of the country. Statistically, they’re doing twice as well as they should, if you assume all races are created equally in regards to acting.
Ask yourself which white group has more power than the NAACP. I recognize that the knee-jerk liberal response to that is “the Republican Party, hardy har”, which takes the comical genius of a 9 year old, and the ignorance of a lawn chair. Perhaps you can come up with another example that isn’t false. I thought not.
You really think the NAACP is there to acknowledge blacks? See if they mention African-American Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele during the broadcast tonight. Don’t hold your breath.
Meet the new Obama-mobile. The New York Post reports that the new stimulus package has $300 million that will be used for purchasing a fleet of NEVs, or Neighborhood Electric Vehicles. Here is a picture. It is a friggin golf cart. This is like a punchline on the Daily Show, but unfortunately this is not a parody.
Folks, President Obama is a lot of things, but he sure as shit isn’t an expert on what kind of cars Americans want to drive. Golf carts have existed for decades, and people could have easily bought them for use in their neighborhood. Why didn’t they? Because there is virtually no demand for such a small, open vehicle.
Oh, and by the way, NEVs run on electricity, which is produced mostly by coal. You Obamaniacs need to learn more about your guy. He really does think he can fool all of the people all of the time, despite Abe’s words of wisdom.
Obama annouced on Wednesday that he is imposing a cap of $500,000 on the compensation of executives at companies receiving significant taxpayer assistance. “Public outrage over compensation has been building since October” says Bloomberg.com.
Barack, let me explain something to you.
If you limit the pay of CEOs at a select few companies, you won’t get any CEOs applying for the job.
Sure, when you fill the job, that person will be a CEO, but that person isn’t really a CEO, because CEOs get millions, tens of millions, or more for their work. All the good CEOs will work elsewhere, and your cheap CEO will do a cheap job. Maybe we should thank you for doing socialist experiments instead of a complete overhaul of the country.
Still mad at CEOs? Ok, how about pro athletes and Hollywood actors. They make income comparable or substantially more than many of the CEOs you liberals hate so much. Let’s cap the amount of money Will Smith can make on his next movie. I guess since the tax breaks for movie-makers was stripped from the pork-ulus bill, we won’t cap salaries in Hollywood. Just CEOs cuz ignorant people are mad.
When you get mad at someone else for making money for doing a job, you are a jealous, insolent child. You don’t have the slightest clue what a CEOs pay is. A CEO should be paid what a company is willing to pay them. That is freedom. Picking a number like $500,000 is evidence that Barack Obama likes to put fuel on the class-envy fire. Idiotic.

House Speaker Pelosi publicly stated that “every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs.”
500 million per month in a country of 300 million. We are in deep trouble folks. Even when Fox’s Chris Wallace asked if she meant 500,000, her response makes you want to bang your head against a wall:
“What did I say, million?” asked Pelosi, adding that it “feels like 500 million.”
Really Nancy? Does it FEEEEEEL like 500 million? Gosh, I’ll bet if we don’t pass global-warming legislation, the earth temperature will go up 500 degrees per month. Or maybe it just “feels” like 500 degrees. Nancy Pelosi “feels” like a moron.
Liberals don’t concern themselves with the truth. Why jump over the hurdle of due diligence when you can just pull numbers out of nowhere and cite them so assertively? Its so much easier. Take that example and multiply it by a couple times a day per congressperson, Republican and Democrat, and try to go to sleep tonight.
Folks, Nancy Pelosi ain’t some obscure moron. She’s the speaker of the friggin house. If someone offs President Obama and VP Joe Biden, she becomes President. In her first 100 hours, I’m sure she’ll be so effective, it’ll feel like 500 trillion people screaming.
