Joe the Plumber debacle summed up

For those that don’t know a plumber from Ohio asked Barack Obama a question, and his answer was,

“When you spread the wealth around, its good for everybody.”

You don’t have to know what was asked or who asked it. You don’t need to know any context to understand what Barack Obama said. He wants to “spread the wealth around.” As I’ve said in other posts, Obama thinks of wealth the same way he thinks of oxygen. It doesn’t belong to anyone; it just exists. He is a certified socialist.

In response to this incident making Obama look bad, the predominantly liberal media and liberal Democrat politicians have decided to do what they always do. The problem is “Joe” isn’t a Washington politician throwing stones from a glass house. Joe didnt even throw a stone. Obama confirmed Joe’s statement and elaborated. Joe the Plumber has simply illustrated the liberal approach to dealing with a problem…

“This guy made a Democrat look bad. Therefore, he must be destroyed.”

The liberal instinct to destroy Joe was so ingrained, they weren’t paying attention. Here’s a story where they say he’s not a plumber because he doesn’t have a license. Notice they don’t say he’s actually a ____. The guy who asked the question isn’t the story. Even if he was a KKK president/child molestor, Obama still answered “spread the wealth around.” A socialist talking to a normal person is still a socialist when talking to a bad person. So, don’t be distracted by all this stuff about Joe the Plumber not paying his taxes, not having a plumber’s license, and not being named Joe. Even if all that is true, Obama’s answer remains the same.

The secondary part of the story is “Joe.” He does owe taxes, but that doesn’t change Obama’s answer. His real name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher. Implying that his real name isn’t Joe is childish, trial lawyer nonsense. His middle name is Joe, but again, that doesn’t change Obama’s answer. He does not have a plumbing license, but he doesn’t have to have one. His boss does have to have one, and does, but that doesn’t change Obama’s answer:

“When you spread the wealth around, its good for everybody.”

Senator Obama, I think Russians would disagree. They had immense power, plenty of social planners, lots of money, and bureaucracy that would make the DMV blush, and they couldn’t make socialism work. It thankfully collapsed, proving that self-interested public sector bureaucrats are worse than self-interested private sector bureaucrats.
