Obama: 2nd Arab-American nominee for President

August 27th, 2008 OAL No comments

I do not care about anyone’s race. People’s culture is all that really affects who they are, not their racial composition. Americans are American, and the fact that they were related to other races is irrelevant. Unless their entire political career rests on the specifics of their own ethincity.

Barack Obama is an American.

If you want to put a hyphen in front of it, I’m sorry, but you do not get to call him an African-American.

Barack Obama is a Caucasian-Arab-African American.

Tiger Woods called himself a Caublinasian, due to his caucasian, black, indian (native American actually), and asian ethnicity. Due to the fact that Tiger Woods is more black than Barack Obama, perhaps he should be referred to differently. I take exception with Tiger’s etymology in creating his ethnic identifier, but close enough.

Only 6% black

Barack Obama is 50% white, 43.75% Arab, and 6.25% black (non-Caucasian African). This is not disputed anywhere that I can find. Once upon a time, when minority status was defined as having a minimum standard of 1/8, or 12.5%, Barack would not make the cut referring to himself as an African-American. His father did, but he did not. His father was 7/8 ethnically Arab, 1/8 non-caucasian African. The only ethnically African relative Senator Obama has is a great-great grandmother.

In regards to the picture above, I did not add it to falsely associate Obama with Muslim extremists. It is simply the only picture that can be found associating him with his main, non-Caucasian ethnicity. He is wearing Arab garb, as you might expect any person with his heritage to do.

There are Africans that live in Kenya, and Arabs that live in Kenya. Being Kenyan does not make your ethnicity African simply because Kenya is in Africa. Egypt is in Africa, but they are Arab. A columnist named Kenneth Lamb researched it and found that,

True Negro tribal members of western Kenya where [Obama's] father was born have Christian names, not Arabic. His father’s decision to name him with an Arabic name is a matter of his father establishing his ethnic identity in Africa - it is done deliberately to separate him from the African tribes. He may live among them, but he is not one of them. His father’s message is that he is Arabic, not Negro.”

I have nothing against white, Arabs, or Africans. I do have something against people who omit details of their ethnicity and amplify others for political gain. You can’t have it both ways, Barack. You want to call yourself a minority, fine. But as far as your minority classification, you are Arab first, African second. There is nothing wrong with this, but stop telling us all about your struggles as an African American. What about the struggles of Arab-Americans?

Obama’s ancestors responsible for “the struggle”?

Another reason I take exception with him ignoring his Arab roots is the truth about his Arab ancestors. Again from Kenneth Lamb,

Researching his roots reveal that on his father’s side, he is descended from Arab slave traders. They operated under an extended grant from Queen Victoria, who gave them the right to continue the slave trade in exchange for helping the British defeat the Madhi Army in southern Sudan and the Upper Nile region.”

Again, I do not care who he is descended from. He could be Hitler’s great grandson, I don’t care. The actions of his ancestors are irrelevant to who he is. We probably all have some bad apples in the family tree. Its not relevant. What is relevant is that he stands alongside African-Americans against the oppression of white people through slavery. Most people are ignorant of history, thinking white people hold the patent on slavery. Arabs also engaged in slave-trading, and it may appear that Barack’s ancestors on the AFRICAN SIDE, not his white mother, may have been slave traders.

Identity politics

Voting for someone based on their ethnic makeup is moronic and ignorant. It is even worse in a country like American where the vast majority of people are mixed-race, or mutts. 95% of blacks are voting for a guy because they identify with 6% of his ethnicity. He’s been packaged as an African American, even though he’s 50% white, was raised by white people, and is 44% Arab. Some of that 95% are voting for him over McCain because they are Democrats, but a lot of them are doing it simply because they believe him to be “black” like them.

* Note: his title of 2nd Arab-American is due to the candidacy of Ralph Nader, who has Arab ethnicity as well.

My picks for VP

August 22nd, 2008 OAL No comments

Barack Obama

Will pick: Joe Biden
Should pick: Hillary Clinton

Joe Biden is more qualified for president than Obama is, so he’d make Obama look experienced. And Biden didn’t do anything wrong in the primaries. He’ll get the nod.
Obama is TANKING. Despite polls showing a 10% lead for Democrats in a generic congressional poll and an unpopular war, he is virtually tied in the polls with McCain. The American people are learning more and more about Barack Obama, and it isn’t going well. If he picks Hillary (who most likely wouldn’t accept), all the liberals will do backflips and get excited about beating Bush in ‘08. Oh wait, he’s not running… either way, McCain will be in big trouble if Hillary decides to take the copilot chair.

John McCain

Will pick: Mitt Romney
Should pick: Mitt Romney

The dirty little secret is the base knows they screwed up not going for Romney. McCain is a Democrat RINO, and Mitt would give him the appearance of conservatism that will seal the big win in November.

Disclaimer: I’m not a Republican. I just call em like I see em. If you have constructive criticism, please comment.

Russia and China are no military threat to the U.S.

The recent Russian invasion of Georgia made big news recently, prompting questions of Russia wanting to get back in the superpower game. What a preposterous suggestion when you learn that’s not in the cards. If the fact that Russia invaded Georgia with tanks doesn’t convince you, read on.

I’ve also heard people refer to China’s “billion man army.”

The key phrase here is “military projection.” There are lots of countries that can defend themselves, but attacking other countries is whole different story.

Ability to project across oceans

Russian navy ships: 701
Chinese navy ships: 232
American navy ships: 1,866

Air force

Russian aircraft: 7,331
Chinese aircraft: 2,700
American aircraft: 18,169

Ability to shift funds to military

Russian GDP: 1.3 trillion
Chinese GDP: 3.3 trillion
American GDP: 13.8 trillion

Check out this graphical illustration of our dominance in missile defense systems.
Liberals, when you say we’re losing the war in Iraq, you sound painfully ignorant. No one, not even China or Russia, especially not some unorganized renegades in the middle east, is in the same league as the United States. Its not even close. Losing the war, are you insane? We can crush any country in the world without losing a single life. We just choose not to because you spineless wimps whine and moan any time some conservative makes the tough decision to risk lives, so we fight wars with our hands tied behind our back.

China and Russia can certainly decimate their neighbors. They can project militarily in a very powerful way nearby. Their ability to project globally is dwarfed by ours. We have twice the ships they have combined, almost twice the aircraft combined, and to match our GDP, they would have to combine theirs with Japan and Iran to match us. Good luck getting Japan on board. Russia and China could theoretically kill lots of people by firing every missile they have at us, but they wouldn’t dare because it would be suicide.

Russia invades with tanks? Dont make me laugh. We have video games that use more strategy than rolling missile magnets.

Huffington Post calls Toby Keith “Lynching Advocate”

August 5th, 2008 OAL No comments

In his song “Beer for my Horses,” Toby Keith’s partner in the song Willie Nelson sings,

“Grandpappy told my pappy back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he’d done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree
, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street
For all the people to see”

Max Blumenthal points out in his article that “During the days when Toby Keith’s “Grandpappy” stalked the Jim Crow South, lynching was an institutional method of terror employed against blacks to maintain white supremacy.”

When asked to comment, Dirty Riding advocate Chamillionaire said, “It seems to me the industry is all on Jigga’s dick.” Nigga slapping advocate Ludacris followed up with “I’m thinking bout killin my boss today.” And Robocop cranking advocate Souljah Boy threw in his 2 cents with “I got me some bathin apes.”

Question for people who like John Edwards…

August 4th, 2008 OAL No comments

Why would an experienced trial lawyer allow some woman to claim she had an affair and a child with him without hitting her with a defamation lawsuit?

Answer: One word: discovery. He files the suit… she’s allowed to compare his DNA with the baby.

The good news about the media not covering this story is that maybe Barack will select John as his running mate and seal his loss to Democrat John McCain.
