The inevitably disappointing 2008 presidential election

March 27th, 2008 OAL No comments

The natural evolution of politics in America has created two relevant parties. On the other hand describing each American as one or the other is a simplistic system. Its even somewhat simplistic to brand individual politicians as pure Republicans or pure Democrats because there are just too many issues that they differ on. There are pro-life and pro-abortion on both sides of the aisle. Same goes for proponents and opponents of the 2nd amendment.

If you forced me to pick one party or the other to identify myself, I would reluctantly have to pick Republicans. I will cover the specifics of why in a later post, but the fact is there are 3 democrats left in the 2008 presidential race. To call McCain a “RINO” would be an understatement. He said that greedy people on Wall Street “perhaps need to be punished.” Hey John, pretend we already have laws in place to punish crimes. Making craploads of money is a good thing. People that make lots of money can afford to employ others. He also supports legislation for fighting the man-made global warming myth. He wants to get rid of Guantanamo Bay, which no one has explained a rational reason to do so. He voted to ban drilling in ANWR. He wanted amnesty for illegal aliens, though he now says he wouldn’t vote for it now.

The McCain enigma

The good news for you Republicans out there is McCain most likely won’t bother pushing global warming legislation. The American people, as a group, aren’t buying it. As for any amnesty plans, talk radio managed to stop that, and they’ll be able to do it again when McCain takes office. When it comes to the economy, he has said multiple times that he wishes to extend the Bush tax cuts (which is a good thing), as opposed to the two Democrats. You can see a diary of McCain’s positions here. I’m certain he’ll defend the country in the war on terror, or any other problems.

To be fair, Hillary would defend this country as well. Ya, ya, you’re yelling at me for saying that, but Hillary is a wind-sock, and the country blows in the ass-kicking direction. Obama has shown he’ll at least attempt to appease our enemies. All three will defend us in response to a major attack, but we’d rather avoid that by electing McCain.

Permanent damage to the country

The other issue is any permanent damage that these three might be able to do along the lines of such past permanent damage like the New Deal. Hillary could succeed with some sort of socialized medicine, which would be awful. McCain might give terrorists access to our lawyers by moving them from Guantanamo to U.S. soil. Barack… no one knows what this guy will do because he really has no record. The fact that his wife and uncle-like pastor are both raging racists, but he says he’s not, should worry any sane, open-minded person.

So should you jump off a cliff, jump off a bridge, or jump into sewage? Well, we can always climb out of the sewage and clean off, so…

Vote McCain ‘08.

Hillary’s “first mistake” in 12 years, HA!

March 26th, 2008 OAL No comments

Hillary claims she “misspoke” about the Bosnia visit, claiming she had to avoid sniper fire. Misspoke?! Video of the 1996 visit shows this to not only be far from an exaggeration, it was just plain untrue.

I see people defending her… why?! I don’t care if you like her, or you don’t care that she lied about this… why defend the behavior? Just say you don’t care if she lies, and we’ll “move on” but don’t tell me there’s nothing wrong with it. Alan Colmes asked guests whether they “really believe she consciously lied” about the incident. YES!!! She did!!! That’s what she does.

She said she was a Yankee fan her whole life when there’s photographs of her as a Cubs fan. She said she was named after a guy that wasn’t famous until she was 5. She claimed she played soccer at a school that didn’t have soccer. This woman does not have the slightest concern for facts. Fiction and non-fiction are equally valid in her universe.

The New Civil Rights Movement: Equal rights for whites

March 19th, 2008 OAL No comments

Black people say I just don’t get it. I’m white, therefore I just don’t get it. While ignoring the inherent racism in their statement, I will point out that the fact that I don’t get it means the civil rights movement was a success. I have grown up in a country without systemic racial superiority or bigotry. My lack of ability to grasp something my feeble white mind will never be able to grasp (sarcasm poured on thickly) is exactly what they claim to striving for: a country without racism.

Equal opportunity for stupidity

The fact is there are some VERY stupid people in the world. When Brooks Shields points out that “if you’re killed, you lose a very important part of your life,” she is an idiot, and I am allowed to point that out. When Jeremiah Wright says the U.S. government created the 3-strikes law to punish blacks, he is an idiot, and I am allowed to point that out. Although those two examples are mirrors of each other, the second has been redefined as racist. How convenient! Black people have figured out how to never be criticized again; point and yell, “racist!”

There are a lot of stupid people commenting on the Wright/Obama controversy, not only defending the reverend’s right to say what he says, but excusing it. Once upon a time, white people allowed blacks to go untreated for syphilis in the Tuskegee study. This is an extremely heinous, despicable crime. But the fact that it was despicable and that it was carried out on blacks does not give blacks the right to impune all white people, and lie about the details. Follow the logic of Jeremiah Wright apologists:

1. Jeremiah Wright claims white people created the AIDS virus and infected black people.
2. His defenders all point out that white people did do that with syphilis in the Tuskegee study.

This is a lie. They were denied treatment for syphilis. You can’t justify an untrue statement about AIDS by citing an inaccurate statement loosely based in reality. You can’t back up a lie with a lie, and the argument that “its sorta true” is far from acceptable. The fact that it was heinous does not give you the right to exaggerate the facts, whether someone of your race had to sit in the back of the bus or be killed in a gas chamber.

Stop whining

I refuse to go another day apologizing to blacks because someone with my skin pigment once mistreated someone with their skin pigment. This is SILLY. We all have obstacles in life, sometimes created by another person. Black people do not own the market on hardships, and not all their hardships are caused by their skin color. Why is racist bigotry held on a pedestal as the epitome of prejudice? Black people think they’re the only people to ever be murdered or treated badly for stupid, ignorant reasons? How presumptuous of them! Gays are routinely murdered in countries around the world, women are treated like pets, less than pets, around the world. And do they think they’re the only people that got hurt in the civil rights movement? Viola Liuzzo, and others, would disagree.

Pot calling the ket… err… milk calling the cream cheese white

I also refuse to shut up when racists call me racist. Any time a white person criticizes a black person, they’re called a racist. Every time a white person (or black person for that matter) points out a bad characteristic of a culture that many blacks subscribe to, they’re called a racist (or an Uncle Tom). There is nothing wrong with criticizing a culture, for the same reason there is nothing wrong with making fun of white people dancing. Or making movies about how we can’t jump high. The word racism has a definition, and it is not “any statement made by a white person that one black person doesn’t like.” I am not a racist, period, therefore any statement I make is not racist. Racial statements are not racist.

So all you race mongers, race apologists out there, of any color. Screw you. I’ll say whatever I damn well please.

Obama’s pathetic reply

March 15th, 2008 OAL No comments

I can’t say I’m surprised, but Obama’s response to the controversy about his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is about as wimpy as it could have been without dooming his candidacy.

“Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it’s on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue.”

Don’t straddle every fence

This is one of the most carefully worded, half-ass denunciations I have ever witnessed. Whatever bar Obama had to clear to get past this, he did his best to brush it on his way down. He couldn’t just condemn the hatred of his pastor; he had to clarify. He only disagrees with “the statements that have been the subject of controversy” or “any statement that disparages” or “that are at issue.”

Barack, your pastor is despicable. I, and the rest of us not in your cult, do not care if he occasionally says something useful. I’m sure you can find someone else to consult. Your statements and history with this man convince me you subscribe to his hatred, and you only denounce him partially so that people think you are reasonable. Some of us see through the smoke screen.

Barack is unfit for command

March 14th, 2008 OAL No comments

I’ve been aware of this guy for awhile, but I hadn’t seen the compilation of all his “comments.” Pastor Jeremiah Wright…

Youtube vid

This is Barack’s spiritual adviser. He is on the campaign with Barack.

Another vid

Jeremiah… Barack is half-white, he’s filthy rich, and EXTREMELY privileged. He grew up in a 2 parent home with his mom and step-dad, then his grandparents. And what the hell does the 3 strikes law have to do with black people?

White people invented AIDS to kill blacks

Evidently this guy also blames the US government for inventing the AIDS virus to kill black people, but I didn’t see a video on that. Barack has renounced some of this guy’s comments in public, but why does he associate with him at all? Barack has denounced Wright, but he is still holding a prominent appointed position in the Obama campaign. People keep pointing out that he retired from the church. He retired to go on the trail with Barack!

The guy can be quite funny though…“Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.” I’ll bet Hitler could tell a good knock-knock joke on occasion.

I’m no republican, but I am DEFINITELY no democrat. Forget politics, can ANYONE find 10% of this kind of crap on John McCain? I mean, even close? This is the best the democrat party can come up with? Barack just wants it both ways; he wants mainstream people to believe he’s against this guy, but he wants extreme people to think he supports the guy’s ranting. It is the EXACT EQUIVALENT of John McCain having a white supremacist on his campaign, but saying he doesn’t agree with his statements. Explain the difference to me.

Some advice for Barry… Jeremiah Wright is a vicious racist, and you have been hanging out with him for 20 years, and Wright has been consistent for all 20. He even performed your wedding ceremony. He is on one of your campaign committees. There is no reason to believe you don’t support his beliefs. Actions speak louder than your pathetic words denouncing his statements. You MUST fire this racist and move on if you want to have any chance in this election. Anyone that is black first, American second, is unfit for command.

Republican landslide

McCain, if you don’t repeat Jeremiah Wright’s name over and over and over and over through November, you are too incompetent to be a politician. This is soft toss; knock it out of the park. If you do, the inexperienced, unaccomplished, all-talk-no-walk Barack Obama will disappear from the national stage.

Inconvenient facts about party affiliation

March 13th, 2008 OAL No comments

When a poll is conducted, there is no doubt, more people identify with the democrat party. Unfortunately for those that celebrate that fact, if you dig deeper, you’ll find out why… if you’re open-minded.

The Pew Research Center published numbers in 2004 about party affiliation based on marriage and kids. Married people tend to be Republicans, while single people tend to be Democrats. GO FIGURE! The people who actually have matured and are looking at life as reality and not some abstract utopia go with Republicans, while the relatively immature single people vote Democrat.

Now an intellectually lazy person with moral ambiguity would claim that single people are just as mature as a married person. WRONG. Sorry. You can’t possibly grasp the span of life until you are forced to think about it, which married people (for the most part) have extensively. Their level of maturity, as a group, is far and away based more strongly in reality than single people.

Single people don’t need life insurance. They don’t understand the mindset necessary to purchase insurance in case you die. Life insurance gives no personal benefit to the person who takes it out. It is real selflessness.

“If your not a liberal by the time you’re 20 you have no heart.” If your not a conservative by the time your 30 you have no brain.” Aint that the truth.
